Steven Sams

Steven Sams graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1979 with a BS in chemistry and from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1984 with a Master of Health Care Administration degree.  He graduated from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 1997.

Prior to commencing the practice of law in 1998, Mr. Sams was a health care executive for seventeen years.  He managed various clinical departments in hospitals at the Washington University Medical Center and Missouri Baptist Medical Center, both in St. Louis, prior to holding the position of Vice President at the Indiana Blood Center in Indianapolis.

Mr. Sams is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and Indiana State Bar Association.  He is also active in the National Employment Lawyers Association—Indiana Chapter.

Mr. Sams has presented on the topics of “Uniformed Services and Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act:  Employer’s Obligations To Citizen Soldiers” and “Effective Financial Strategies In Divorce:  Changes To The Child Support Guidelines and Property Division”.  He has also authored “Involuntary Termination of Employment:  Legal and Practical Considerations.”
